Meredith Genevieve Boblett

Meredith Genevieve (Sheppard) Boblett, age 83, of Beckley went home to be with the Lord on July 10, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House. She was born on October 14, 1935 in Fayette County, WV to her late parents, Charles Earl and Pearl Susan (Propps) Sheppard. Meredith (Rita) was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She had served as secretary and bookkeeper for the Boblett Corporation and has been a member of Gideons for several years. She is preceded in death by her parents. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband, Murriel (Pete) Garner Boblett; children Mark Anthony Boblett (Patti), Joyce Annette Bundy and her husband Bobby, Kimberly Dawn Smyth and her husband John, and Anita Kay Boblett Cox; grandchildren Miranda Boblett Pace, Adrienne Lisbeth Boblett and their mother Susan Boblett, Ana Maria Metaxas, C. Michael Metaxas, Robert Garner Bundy, and Brittany Danielle Clyburn ; great grandchildren Marek Steven Pace and Vivian Louise Merrill; siblings Camila Richmond, Cecil Sheppard, Basil Sheppard, Charlene Spencer, Kathleen Stipe, Macil Stipe, and Wanda Lantz; and many nieces, nephews and friends whom will miss her dearly. A special thank you to Terri Waddell for her continued care, love, and support.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, July 15 from 6 pm-8 pm at Cranberry Baptist Church. A Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 beginning at 12 pm at Cranberry Baptist Church where she and her husband are members.
