Michael Wayne Polk

Michael Wayne Polk of Oak Hill went to his Heavenly home on Monday, January 09, 2017 following a long illness. Born April 16, 1958, he was the son of Lendo and Neva Virginia Price Polk. Michael attended Mountain View Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry, flea markets, pawn shops and being with his family and friends. He also enjoyed gardening and taking care of his chickens. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Wilma Polk of Oak Hill; parents, Lendo and Virginia Polk of Midway; son, Brian Polk and wife, Brittany of Cool Ridge; step-son, Darryl J. Coleman of Ft. Leonardwood, MO; step-daughter, Hannah L. Coleman of Beaver; brother, Melvin Polk of Midway; sisters, Barbara Dickens and husband, Ralph of Sophia, Sharon Milam and husband, Randall of Beckley; grandchildren, Sarah and Alivia Polk. Services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Ruddell Bloomfield and Rev. Donnie Price officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may gather with the family Thursday from 12-1 PM at the funeral home.
