She was born in Cedarville, NM; she was the daughter of the late Everette “Pete” and Pauline McCloud.
When her health permitted, she loved doing crafts and travelling, sewing, cooking, going to the Senior Life Center in Jumping Branch, but most of all loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved life and all that it had to offer. She loved her time at the day care center, where she loved every child as if they were her own. Mildred loved the Lord and cherished the time she was part of the Jumping Branch Tabernacle congregation.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gayle McCloud, and a brother, LeRoy McCloud.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Billy Criddle; a son, Reggie Criddle; a daughter, Elizabeth Criddle; two grandchildren, Holt and Hunter Criddle; three sisters, Nora Ann O’Dell of TN, Bonnie Belle Lackey and her husband, James of NM, and Shirley Dix and her husband, Phil of NM; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Services to celebrate the life of Mildred Faye Criddle will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley. Following the services, she will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
