Ellison, Mildred L. Rhodes 89, of Huntsville, AL, formerly of Beckley, WV, and Oldsmar, FL, passed away in Huntsville, on Monday, June 27, 2016. Born February 11, 1927, in Sugar Creek, WV, to John M. and Harriet A. Rhodes, she was preceded in death by her husband Kyle Ellison. She is survived by her son John of Tampa, FL, her son and daughter-in-law Kyle Jr. and Beverly of Huntsville, AL, and her two grandchildren, Amy Ellison of Chattanooga, TN, and Kevin Ellison of Huntsville, AL. She was a Baptist and often served as pianist or organist of her church. She was a devoted wife and mother, who also found time to sew and teach piano. A visitation will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2016, at the Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley, WV. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Beckley, WV.
