Millard Andrew Ferguson

Millard Andrew Ferguson went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2017 after battling a long illness. He was born on August 11, 1949 in Sprague, WV to Billy and Isabel Ferguson. Millard enlisted in the Service in 1968 and served his Country as a Sgt.E5 in the US Army 4th Infantry Division. During Vietnam he received the Purple Heart and the Army Commendation Medal. He enjoyed hunting, refurbishing antique guns, designing Recurve bows, and being with his family especially his grandson. Millard was a deacon of Hollywood Missionary Baptist Church. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 46 years, Debra Ferguson of Midway; daughters, Yvonne Tackett and husband, Robert of Roanoke, VA, Kelly Bloomberg and husband, John of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Barbara Ferguson of Beckley and grandson, Robert Andrew Tackett, Father-n-Law Fred Vest of Beckley and numerous extended family and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday June 7, 2017 at Hollywood Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may gather with the family Tuesday from 6 – 8 PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley.
