

Nadell married Chester Tankersley in 1951. They were blessed with five children. Nadell was an artist from a young age. Throughout her life she used her talent, she was a accomplished seamstress and upholstered furniture for many years. Recently she began taking piano lessons.
Nadell was an active member of New Life Baptist Church. She enjoyed learning and was always willing to help.
Nadell is survived by four children and their spouses; Emanuel and Susie Tankersley, Patsy and Dale Fuller, Steve and Theresa Tankersley, and Sandy and Freddy Elmore. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Kelly Barlow, John Fuller, Natalie Hartsock, Steven Tankersley, Amber Fuller, Katy Elmore, and Emily Elmore. She leaves ten great-grandchildren; Mathew, Nathan, Lillian, Abigail, Gabriel, Augustus, Ryan, Violet, Veronica, and Tristan.
Nadell was devoted to her family and will be sadly missed. It is a comfort to know she is reunited with her daughter Vicky, who died as an infant, and her husband of sixty years Chester.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Rodney Allen, and Pastor Floyd Bolen officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Friends may gather with the family Tuesday from 12-1 PM at the funeral home.
