Naomi Aldine Cox Taylor, 98, of Sophia, WV passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24. Aldine, as she was lovingly known by her family, was born on May 15, 1922 at Farley Hill, WV to the late Franch Lee Cox and Lewinda Amanda Via Farley Cox Ellison and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a long time member of Sophia First Baptist Church and a member of Country Road Garden Club.
Aldine is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ray Taylor, her sister Izola Grubb, brothers Leighton Farley Sr. and Clenda Cox, her daughter Sherry Taylor Trail, and her great-grandson Noah Taylor. She is survived by children, Duane Taylor of Sophia, WV, Rhonda Kinder and her husband Bill of Glade Springs, WV, Sue Flint of Beckley, WV; her grandchildren Lynn Saunders and her husband William, Robin Trail Fisher and her husband Glen, Thomas Trail Jr., Nathan Taylor and his wife Christie, Vincent Taylor, David Taylor and his wife Sarah, Daniel Taylor and his wife Catie, Alicia Kinder and her husband Shawn Schuylur, Brad Kinder, Niki Richmond, Austin Flint and fiancée Jo Himes, and 17 great-grandchildren as well as 2 great-great grandchildren.
Also surviving is her brother-in-law Richard Taylor and wife Anne of Chicago, IL, and her special niece Phyllis Farley Hilton with whom she shared much love. The family wishes to thank the personnel of Pine Lodge for the wonderful care they gave our Mother.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
