Norma Jean Bryant

Born March 25, 1946, in Wyoming County, WV; she was a daughter of the late Willie and Sylvia Green.

Norma loved her family very much. She liked canning, reading, quilting, gospel music, riding 4-wheelers with her family, and walking in the woods with her beloved husband, William Bryant admiring God’s Creation. She was very proud of her friends and the time that she spent at Pineville High School, from where she graduated. She was a CNA, who cared for many people through the years. Norma was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of the Fairview Christian Community Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William “Bill” Bryant; a grandson, William Thomas Bryant; brothers, Roy Green and wife, Dorothy and Paul Green and wife, Ruth; and a sister, Ina Blankenship.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, William “Chris” Bryant and wife, Katherine of Fishersville, VA; daughter, Carolyn Jean Bryant-Carmack and husband, Joel of Bristol, TN; a granddaughter, Tian Grace Carmack of Bristol, TN; a sister, Bonnie Murray and husband, Matt of Pineville, WV; three brothers, Lon Green and wife, Vivian of Pineville, WV, John Green and wife, Pat of Pineville, WV and Ted Green and wife, Vicky of Pineville, WV; she will also be missed by a host of very loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Norma Jean Bryant will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C Byrd Drive, Beckley with her nephew, Jeff Green officiating. Following the services, Norma will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Bill at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.

John Tipton, Ray Russell, Jayden Jennings, Eddie Green, John Rinehart, and Matt Murray will be serving as pallbearers, and Jamie Tipton will be serving as an honorary pallbearer.

Friends may gather from 12:00PM until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
