I remember meeting her and her son when after many years of living in the same town our phone number was finally published under my dads name instead of a business. My father(Elbert O. Smith AKA Cap) said that she had been more like a sister than an aunt when he was growing up. We kept in touch until they left lakeland. She will be missed.

Special memories of Aunt Norma the entire time I was a child. Will miss playing word games with her on Facebook. She has a big place in my life and heart.

My condolences to my cousins and family. Norma Jean was my Moms youngest sister and my last living aunt on both sides. I believe there was truly a special bond between my mother and her with around 16 years difference in their age. She was in a lot of pictures with my Mom and Dad when she was younger. Growing up her children and my brothers and sisters where cousins and also friends. We spent a lot of time with each other and usually lived close to each other. When my parents passed away we all drifted apart but have tried to stay in touch thro the years. Family stay strong and lean on each other thru this low point in your lives. Love you all.
