Patricia Harrah: Patricia H. Harrah, age 94, left her earthly body to meet her Savior face-to-face on November 01, 2021. Born January 17, 1927, she was the last of seven children born to Walter Scott and Dorothy Newman Hutchinson. Patricia was a graduate of Concord College with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She began her teaching career in Fayette County at Deepwater and two years later at Page. In 1964, she began a 24 year career teaching at Bradley Elementary. First Grade was her niche and she loved every minute she was in the classroom. After she retired, she took pride in every student whose name appeared in the newspapers or who made an appearance on television. Music was Patricia’s passion. Through the years she led choirs in three different churches, Kilsyth Freewill Baptist, Bradley Baptist and most recently Calloway Heights Baptist. After 59 years of music ministry, Patricia retired as choir director at the age of 80. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Nora White, Grace Hutchinson, Ruth Gilbert, and Peggy Booth Buckley and brothers, Alfred and Cecil Hutchinson, also a daughter-in-law, Peggy Harrah. She is survived by her children Judith A. Harrah and Robert (Ray) Harrah, two grandchildren, Sarah Wilson and Robert R. Harrah II. Also left to cherish her memory are great grandchildren, Christopher and Kaitlyn Cummins and one great-great grandson, Myles Cummins. Patricia endured a 9 year journey of declining health. What a sweet woman. She was my first grade teacher at Bradley Elementary School way back in the early 70’s. To give you an idea of the impact she had on me, not a year goes by that I don’t think of her many many times. She taught both of my brothers as well and when we’re together talking about growing up, Mrs. Harrah always comes up in conversation. Prayers for the family.

Aunt Patty's is enjoying all the beauty that God promised her here on earth. So happy I get to be reunited with her and my other family some day. Until then, I love you Aunt Patty and Raymond and Judy. Blessings of comfort.

Aunt Patty was the center of attention at all family gatherings due to her outgoing personality and wonderful smile. I loved talking with her because she always listened and had great input to our discussions. She made you comfortable and welcome…always!! I pray for the repose of her soul and for her children, my cousins, Judy and Raymond that they may find peace with her passing. She is probably in Heaven directing a Choir! Know they will greatly miss her.
