Pearl D Allen

Pearl D. Allen 86, of Beckley went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 15, 2016. Born November 27, 1929 in Whitesville, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Essie Adkins Nelson. Pearl was a homemaker and attended First Baptist Church Beckley for many years. At the time of her death she was a member of Pineyview Bible Church. Pearl loved people, her joy was volunteering to help her community. She was a avid volunteer at her church and for the V.A. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Eugene “Cowboy” Allen; her son Thomas E. Allen Sr. and several Brothers and Sisters. Those left to cherish her memory include her four children Linda Hall and David Allen both of Beckley, Ruth Ann Harvey of Madonna Ohio, and Christine Jennings of Concord N.C. ; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grand children, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many beloved friends. Services celebrating the life of Pearl Allen will be held Monday January 18, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Cecil Smith officiating. Following the service she will be laid to rest beside her husband in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. The Raleigh County Fire Fighters Duty Crew 175 will serve as her pall bearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until service time Monday at the funeral home.
