Heaven’s gates opened to receive an angel on March 27th, 2024, when Peggy “Non” Brooks, surrounded by her loving family, took her last breath. She was sassy, feisty, loved her family with everything she had, and everyone that knew her loved her. She was preceded in death by the love of her life Robert “Pop” Brooks, who we know was waiting for his “Sweetpea” to arrive with open arms. She was also preceded in death by her mother Susie Maxey, stepfather carl Maxey, and brother Henry Lee Meadows. Left to cherish her memory are her Daughter Andrea “Niecy” Hatcher and husband Jack “Jackie-Lee” Hatcher or Beckley; Granddaughter Amanda “Mean Wean” Hatcher of Beckley; Grandson Todd “Bubba” Hatcher and wife Cassie “Sparkles” Hatcher; the light of her life her Great Grandson Levi “Little Booger” Hatcher of Beckley; her sister Carol Stafford and her family of Beckley; brother Billy Maxey and his family; all of “her girls” at Greystone Courtyard that all loved their Peggy Poo and gave so much love and support to her and our family through her journey; her extended family and so many friends because to know her was to love her.
