Peggy Mae Niday, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Born on January 2, 1947 in Sullivan, WV, she was the daughter of the late Katherine Marie Pierce McKinney and Bernard Burdette McKinney.
Peggy loved to bowl, crochet and was the owner of Peggy’s Video for over 25 years and made so many friends during that time.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by four brothers, Bernard Burdette Jr., Herbert Lewis, Harry Allen, and Roger Keaton; two sisters, Shirley Jean and JoAnn Myatt.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Morris Niday; two sons, Morris Alden Jr. of Crab Orchard and Robert Dean and Leigh Niday of Crab Orchard; brother, Douglas and Carol McKinney of Coal City; sisters, Billie Joyce and Tom Cox of Stotesbury and Tiny Lester of Richmond, VA.; sisters in-law, Linda McKinney of Stotesbury and Geraldine of Oceana; grandchildren, Kristopher Niday, Eddie McBride, Richard Niday, Robert Niday Jr. and his wife Kelly, and Derrick Belcher; great-grandchildren, Braxton McBride, Brody McBride, and Blakely Niday; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Friday evening, September 21st, 2018 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday afternoon, September 22nd, 2018 in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Mark Hatfield and Tom Cox officiating.
The family will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
