Rita Mary Bragg, 64, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015. Rita was born on September 12, 1950 to the late Elbert and Virginia Ellis. She loved her family and devoted her life to giving her children everything, always putting them first and above all others. Rita was an amazing homemaker and always had a spotless house. She was a very strong woman and persevered through hard times with grace and beauty. In addition to her parents, Rita is preceded in death by daughters, Heidi Persinger and Lisa Bragg; brother, Albert “Buddy” Ellis; and sisters, Linda and Alberta Ellis. Survivors include her husband, Glen E. Bragg; daughters, Angela Hilton and Jessica McKinney; and grandchildren, Devin Hampe, James Persinger, Robert Hilton, and John McKinney. Services will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2 pm, with the funeral service to follow at 2 pm. Rev. Orville Setliff will be officiating the services. Burial will follow the services in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
