Born on September 11, 1946, in Naoma, West Virginia to Earl and Violet Totten-Clay.
Roger is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda C. Bone-Clay; their children Sherry M. Heise, Sandee G. Wright, and Cheryl L. Richardson. Also his grandchildren; Rebecca Clark, Dakota Alderman, Serina Alderman, Megan Richardson and Makenzie Richardson, as well as 7 great grand children. His youngest brother Carl as well.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents: Earl Clay and Violet Totten-Clay, his brothers James Clay, Earl Clay, and Raymond Clay, and sisters
Shirley Peruki and Juanita Hamilton.
A service to celebrate the life of Roger Dale Clay will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, July 20, 2026, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C Byrd Drive, Beckley. Following the services, Roger will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Friends may gather with the family Monday, July 20, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
