Ronnie Mac (Ron) Moran

Ronnie Mac (Ron) Moran, of Crab Orchard, WV passed away on July 19, 2022. Born March 18, 1942 in New Richmond, WV, he was the son of the late Cecil Herman Moran and Hester (Halsey) Moran Strunk.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Moran was preceded in death by his step-father, Alvin Strunk; brothers, Cecil Herman (Bud) Moran, Jr., Charles Harold (Chuck) Moran, Franklin Darrell Moran, Robert Lee (Bobby) Moran, Michael Dale Strunk; sisters, Greta Lou Paynter, and his twin, Connie Sue Hale.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Paul Vance Moran and wife, Julie of Cullman, AL; daughter, Ronda Lynn Williams of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Jean Bailey Brumfield and husband, Charles of Monroe, LA and Diane Topping and her husband, Rodney of Oceana, WV, sisters-in-law Deanna Moran of Cleveland, OH. and Theresa Moran of Madison, OH, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and a lot of friends.

Mr. Moran attended the Jordan Christian Fellowship Church in Sophia, WV. He was a retired coal miner from Eastern Associated Coal/Peabody Gas at Kopperston #2 mine. Ron was an electrician and welder by trade. His love for country, bluegrass, and gospel music could often be heard at China One where he would play the piano and sing. He will be forever remembered as a caring and giving man.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, WV. Services will be held at 12:00PM Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, WV with Pastor Timothy Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
