He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret.
Roy served in the Army from 1956 - 1958 and the Navy from 1959-1968. He also worked for the Raleigh County BOE. He was a Christian and attended Maxwell Hill Baptist Church when able.
Roy is survived by his sisters, Karen Humphrey and Donna Patterson; wife's niece and nephews with whom he was close and his wife's grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside Rites will be held at Sunset Memorial Park on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 3:00 pm.
