Sandra “Sandy” Honaker passed away August 19th 2025 at age 67. As a registered nurse, Sandy spent her years caring for the elderly and her community. After retirement she enjoyed baking, but she continued her passion for caring—only this time for her grandchildren and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Glenora Ford, as well as a son, D.J. Yearego. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband Reuben Honaker; children Richard Yearego (Ayla), James Honaker (Chassity), and Misty Honaker; grandchildren Karleigh Yearego, Aaliyah Walton, Lynnzie Yearego, Jaylee Honaker, and Jordan Honaker; sisters Sharon Dean (Joe) and Phyllis Auvil (Randy); as well as a special friend, Carol Scarbro.
Services will be held 2pm August 22nd at Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Beckley, WV with burial to follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation an hour prior to services.
