

Sharon E. Carte, 64, of Sophia, went home to be present with the Lord late Sunday night, December 6, 2015 while surrounded by family. Born September 2, 1951 in Beckley and born again in the family of God at age 11. She was an assistant teacher of Sophia Christian Academy in the early 80’s and served the Lord in various ways as a member at Cranberry Baptist Church the last 19 years. Sharon’s main interest was to service the Lord and be a Christian homemaker. She is the daughter of the late Sherman Angle of Coal City and surviving mother, Navada Angle of Stotesbury. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Michael Carte of 45 years; sons, David of Charles Town, Jeffrey and wife Jennifer of Panama City Beach, FL, Timothy and wife Laura of Knoxville, TN; eleven grandchildren, Amber, Bethany, Bryson, Baylee, Elijah, Wyatt, Ellie-Grace, Brooklyn, Lennon, Kristi and Kaili; brothers, Michael Angle of Stotesbury, Gary Angle and wife Darlene of Sophia and surviving three nieces and three nephews. Friends may gather with the family at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 6-8 pm. Services will be held at the funeral home, Friday, December 11, 2015 at 11am with Pastor Roger E. Pauley officiating and her son Minister Timothy Carte delivering the eulogy.
