

Shirley Darlene Snuffer, 77, of Beckley, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 13, 2017, following a long illness. Born May 9, 1939 in Odd, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lorena Wallace. She was a graduate of Stoco High School class of 1957. Shirley was a member of Skelton Freewill Baptist Church for 35 years where she served as Church Treasurer, President of Christian Ladies Fellowship and choir member. She was the organizer of the Gospel Roundups for Hospice House Benefit Singing for many years. Shirley ministered for 28 years to many people through a radio broadcast called Palm and Praise Victory Hour. She deeply loved her Lord and attending church, gospel singing and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ronald “Junk” Snuffer; brother, Johnny Wallace. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Regina Leigh May and husband Charlie; granddaughter, Brittany; grandson, Jeremy and wife Loren, all of Kingsport, TN; sisters, Norma Thompson and husband Tommy, and Linda Davis; brother, Anthony Wallace and wife Doreen; several nephews and cousins. Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home from 12-2pm. Funeral service will be held 2pm, Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Legg and Rev. Donnie Fink officiating. Rick Lilly and Ricky Profitt will be ministering in song. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
