Timothy Arthur

Tim was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Harold and Ramona Pfadt Arthur; his grandparents, Golden and Esther “Easter” Reid Arthur Sr. and Clyde and Brownie Shue Pfadt.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer “Jenny” Arthur and Molly Dare Arthur; his sister, Rebecca (Doug) Patton; and his brother, Mark Arthur.

He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Kristie (Benny) Warden, Stephanie (Shad) Todd, Jeremy (the late Rachel) Tussey, Ryan (Sarah) Tussey, and Ben (Tori) Tussey.

Cherishing his memory are his great-nieces and great-nephews, Allie (Jesse) Arthur, Maddie (Dustin) Jones - Phillips, Alec Neace, Tristan (Madison) Tussey, Alexis (Caleb) Click, Gracie Todd, Reid Warden, Livi Tussey, Finley Tussey, Braxten Tussey, Laken Tussey, and Emma Tussey; as well as his great-grandnieces, Evelyn Arthur and Ella Arthur.

Tim also leaves behind a host of special friends, including Larry (Helen) Case, Bill (Karen) Jones, Ed Richmond, Shaun Wood, and many others who were fortunate enough to share in his friendship over the years.

Tim was the owner of The Water Store in Beckley and was known throughout the community for his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and ability to make people laugh. He never met a joke he didn't like and enjoyed good-natured teasing with friends and family. Those who appreciated humor found a kindred spirit in Tim.

A gifted and creative person, Tim had a lifelong love for Theater West Virginia, particularly set design and the magic that brought productions to life. He was also an enthusiastic fan of musical theater, movies, and the comedy of Robin Williams. He delighted family and friends with his skill at sleight-of-hand magic and his ability to leave people wondering, "How did he do that?"

Tim was fiercely independent and enjoyed the comforts of home, where he found peace and contentment. Though he valued his solitude, those closest to him knew the depth of his love and loyalty. He especially cherished his parents and carried that love with him throughout his life. For the past decade, he shared a home with his daughter Jennifer, whose companionship and understanding meant the world to him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Southern West Virginia for the compassionate and loving care they provided during Tim's final days.

Tim will be remembered for his laughter, his creativity, his stubborn streak, his unforgettable sense of humor, and the unique way he left his mark on all who knew him. His family and friends will miss him dearly.
