

Venetta Jane Aliff Broyles of Beckley, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, following a long illness. Born December 11, 1951, in Logan, WV, she was a daughter of the late, Woodrow and Madeline Aliff.
Venetta enjoyed going to church, singing, teaching Sunday School, reading, watching Hallmark movies, and spending time with her family and grand puppies.
She was a 1969 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church. Venetta started her career with Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in August of 1969, holding numerous titles including Location Manager and remained a dedicated employee until her passing.
In addition to her parents, Venetta is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Pete Broyles, siblings: Debbie Meadows, Waldo Aliff, Lloyd Aliff, Marie Clay and Gretna Adkins.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving son, Preston Broyles and wife, Colleen, sister, Anita Williams and husband, Roger; brothers, Wayne Aliff, James Aliff and wife, Sandy; brother in law John Broyles and sister in law Louann Broyles, numerous nieces, nephews and grand puppies, Daisy and Willow.
Services for Venetta will be held 2:00PM Sunday, May 31, 2026, at New Prospect Baptist Church, Sweenysburg with Pastor Gary Williams officiating. Following the services, Venetta will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Pete, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Pallbearers will be her son, Preston Broyles, Alex and Axel Aliff, and the Maintenance Team of Blue Ridge.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Venetta’s Honor to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or Bowers Hospice House.
Friends may gather with the family Saturday, May 30th, 2026 from 6 - 8 PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley.
