Vernis Marie Albert, age 81, of Daniels, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Raleigh General Hospital. Born on September 5, 1938 in Pear, WV, she was the daughter of the late Oakley Plumley and Carrie Todd Plumley.
Vernis was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. She and her husband, William attended Faith Community Church in Beckley. She loved and enjoyed crafts. Vernis was a very giving and “wonderful mom” to everyone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Sue Albert and Mary Ann Hull; and brother, Ralph Plumley. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 63 years, William Eugene Albert; daughter, Brenda Albert; son, Phil Albert; grandson, Michael Hull and wife, Stephanie; and brother, Grayson Plumley and his wife, Phyllis.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in the Garden of Devotion of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
