Vickie Kidd

Vickie worked in the Advertising department at the Registered Herald for 16 years. She was also Regional Manager at WVA Housing for 20 years.

Vickie was preceded in death by her father, Robert Earl Gilley, mother, Trudy Faye Shelton, and sister, Theresa Ann Honaker.

Those left to cherish in her memory are her husband, Charles Kidd; sister-in-law, Brenda Butcher (husband Richard), her sister’s Linda Asbury (husband James), Tressia Boyd (husband Jerald), Mary Robinson (late husband Heath), Michelle Lester (husband Robby); brother’s, Gary Gilley (late wife Patty) and Earl Gilley along with a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved fur baby Penny aka “Runt”.

The family would like to express their biggest thank you to Zachary Butcher and Stat Ambulance for their services! Also on behalf of Vickie and the family, we would also like to thank Mike and Jainy Shadrick for the many years that she was employed and her employees that she worked with.

Vickie had many friends throughout her life, but a special gratitude to her beloved friends Dennise Large, Angie, Floyd, Amy and Kelly. Along with her long time friend Vicky Exline.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday June 11th, 2025 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Beckley. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

Friends may gather with the family Wednesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM
