Mrs. Virginia Ellen Arnold, age 75, of Princeton and formerly of Raleigh County, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Glenwood Park Retirement Community. Born on February 16, 1945 in Dyersburg, TN, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Gravely and Louise Veid Gravely.
Virginia and her husband, Raymond were members of Ghent Missionary Baptist Church. She played the piano and organ for over 40 years at her church. Virginia taught Business for 10 years at Woodrow Wilson High School and Shady Spring High School before retiring as a Librarian for the Raleigh County Public Library. She had a passion for quilting, sewing, crocheting and cross-stitching.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of over 51 years, Raymond Arnold; son, Larry Arnold; daughter, Lura Graham and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Jessie Graham, Eli Graham and Anthony Arnold; sister, Mary Denny; brother, James Gravely; and many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her very much.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, November 12, 2020 in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Kruchkow officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
In accordance with the current CDC guidelines, the family and the staff of Blue Ridge Funeral Home ask that those who attend the services wear proper facial coverings and practice social distancing at all times.
Honoring Mrs. Arnold as pallbearers will be her family and friends.
