

He was born January 26, 1934 in Beckley, West Virginia. Punk served his country in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1953 and was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame where he served as quarterback during the 1952 and 1953 State Championship Football teams. Punk also was a member of the 1951, 1952 and 1953 State Champion Basketball Teams. His biggest enjoyment was helping others, being with his family and friends, and was the sole caregiver of his wife, Margaret for 20 years. He was of the Christian Faith.
In addition to his parents those preceding him in death are his wife, Margaret Thompson Collier; son, James Agee; cousins, Helen Hope Snuffer and Charles Mike Talbert.
Those left to cherish his memory are sons, Matthew D. Young of Atlanta, GA, Mark Agee of Woolbridge, VA, Matt Agee of Frederick, MD, Pat Collier of Wilsons, VA, and John Collier of Beckley; cousins, Patsy Herrald of Beckley and Kathy Wallace of FL; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends may gather with the family at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 6-9 pm.
Services will be held at the funeral home, Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 1 pm.
Burial will follow after at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with family and friends to serve as pallbearers.
