Yvonne "Von" Marie Pack

Von was born on June 3, 1947, to Billy Edward and Lucille Virginia Pack in Raleigh County, WV. A proud graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, she later retired as a secretary for the Board of Special Education in Raleigh County. Von was deeply committed to her faith and actively involved in her church, Mountain View Church of God in Hilltop, WV. She served as a licensed minister and was a member of the Church of God State Women’s Board. Von held the positions of Youth Pastor and Ladies Pastor at Mountain View COG. She initiated a women’s prayer meeting, bringing together members from various churches and denominations, which continues to meet weekly. Additionally, Von started a prison ministry at the federal women’s prison in Alderson and trained many individuals to participate in this important work. She spoke at women’s conferences and preached at different churches throughout the southeastern states. Renowned for her anointed singing, she won the Senior Adult talent competition and was an active member of the Mountain View choir. Although Von did not have children of her own, she lovingly cared for and embraced many whom she considered her own.

Yvonne was predeceased in death by her parents, Billy and Lucille Pack and her grandparents, Ira and Lillian Nash Wilkerson and John and Maggie Pack. She is survived by her two brothers and one sister, Larry Pack, David and his wife Beverly Pack and Linda Tiffany. She is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Mountain View Church of God, January 28, 2025, at 1 pm with family visitation from 11 am to 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mountain View Women’s Ministries.
