I am so sorry to hear of Sam's passing. He was my neighbor, childhood friend, and occasionally my nemesis as we were growing up.  Being the neighborhood tomboy, I remember him for bike rides and playing ball and generally causing trouble together. He was one of the really good guys, in all ways. 

Sam is an old friend from Evansdale. Have not seem him since he left for the Army in the mid 60s, but think of him often. It was because of Sam that I never started smoking when I was 12 and Sam was 14. Even though he was smoking he swore he would “kick my a$$” if he found I was smoking. I said, “But, you smoke!”  He retorted, “Just because I’m stupid, don’t you be stupid!” Out of the mouth of babes. Thanks a bunch, Sam, and RIP. My condolences to the family. Have a picture of Sam and me from 1958.  



So sorry for your loss. Sam and i use to get into so much trouble as we were kids growing up. He lived across the street from me and i always wonder what happened to him after he moved away. To the Bracken family so sorry to hear of this.

I had the pleasure of working with Sam for ten years. He was a straight shooter. He always met his commitments. He could be counted on to pitch in when the work load demanded. I always enjoyed our conversations and could count on his knowledge and  experience before making decisions.

I had the privilege to know and work with Sam for a number of years @ Engineered Arresting Systems Corporation in ASTON, PA.  Sam was a good man humble but firm when needed.  Sam left a legacy and a great example for all  he touched.  I am saddened to hear the passing of Sam. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends.
