

Born August 29, 1923 at home on the family farm in White Hall, Md. where she spent her early years. She was the second daughter of Robert E. and Bertha B. (Nelson) Gettier. The family later moved to Baltimore City. She attended Eastern High School on 33rd St. She was employed by the Baltimore City Public School System in the accounting department until her retirement. She lived in the Northwood and Govans area of the city, before moving to Parkville in Baltimore County. She later moved to Forest Hill and Bel Air where she resided independently until her death.
Annabelle enjoyed volunteering at various local hospitals, Good Samaritan, St. Joseph's, Fallston General, and most recently, until her eyesight began to fail, at the information desk at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. She was an avid Orioles and Raven fan watching all of the games on TV. She enjoyed gardening, crafts and reading. She loved going to Ocean City, MD, bus trips and playing bingo.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy L. McKivrigan, husband, Jim and sister, Charlotte Louise Todd of Lansdale, Pa.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air Inc. 610 W. MacPhail Rd. (at Rt. 24) on Wed., November 2, 2011 from 3-5 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 3 at 11:00 A.M. Interment at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, White Hall, Md.
