Billie Jane Bannan

On July 5, 2024, our beloved mother, Billie Jane Bannan, peacefully journeyed to heaven to be reunited with our father, Charles R. Bannan Jr. She was a devoted mother to her children: Charles R. Bannan III, Kristian S. Bannan, Elizabeth A. Shek and her husband Jeremy, Suzanne M. Gottschalk and her husband Jason, and William D. Bannan and his wife Dana. She was also a loving grandmother to Anthony Bannan, Charlie Bannan, Aidan Bannan, Finn Gottschalk and his wife Molly, Karsyn Shek, Graham Bannan, Natalie Shek, Max Gottschalk, Abby Bannan, Phoebe Bannan, Ava Gottschalk, Olivia Bannan, Carina Bannan, and Kennedy Bannan.

Billie was a dear sister to Emily Singley, Ann Hussar and her husband Tim, and sister-in-law to Pat Ruby. She was a cherished aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Those who knew Billie will remember her extraordinary cooking and baking skills, her love of all things Ocean City, Maryland, pool parties, and her deep affection for animals, especially her baby girl cat, Willie. She was truly one of a kind and will be dearly missed by all.

A small gathering will be held at Bel Air Memorial Gardens on August 16 at 12 noon, followed by a celebration of life for friends and family at the Shek residence.
