She was born on August 20, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Wendell; parents Bill and Peggy McCrory; Sister, Frances Pasowicz, brother, Doug McCrory and son in law Kevin Rivenburg.
She grew up in Pimlico, Maryland surrounded by a large loving family. Family has always been the center of her life. Bonnie was the first child and grandchild, she fell quickly into the role of helper, playmate, babysitter, cook, mentor, second mom, and caregiver. It was no surprise when she enrolled in Maryland Generals nursing program after graduating from high school. In the summer of 1963 she was invited to Ocean City Maryland by her parents and family friends. A friend’s son was home on leave from the service. They went out dancing that night on the boardwalk and continued to dance for the next 48 years. As her children grew, Bonnie found a new passion, geriatric nursing. She worked 16 years as a charge nurse for Manor Care, Rosedale and Johns Hopkins Bayview skilled nursing center. Her incredible heart and kindness made a difference in so many of the patients and their families.
Family get togethers for holidays and any occasion delighted her, especially sitting around the table sharing stories after dinner. During her last three years of life, while receiving incredible care at Brightview Bel Air Assisted Living, she was the epitome of grace, strength, and courage. She shared her wisdom and sense of humor with the nursing staff, aides, support staff, residents and visitors. She took a special interest in the lives of those who care for her.
