On February 8, 2022 Carol S. Akers (nee Shackleford) passed away. She was the beloved wife of the late Randell "Greg" Akers; devoted mother of Keith Akers, Sr. and his wife Bridgette Runyon Akers, and Roxanne Akers Peiffer; cherished grandmother of Rachel Akers, Keith "Bud" Akers, Jr., Amber Tillyard, and Jacob Peiffer; loving great-grandmother of Liam, Carson, and Addeline; beloved daughter of the late Sylvester Shackleford and Leanna Rudd Shackleford; dear sister of Bobby Shackleford and his wife Eileen and the late Sylvester "Shacky" Shackleford and his late wife Janie; she is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on April 16th from 12-1 pm, where a celebration of life service will begin at 1 pm at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, 610 W. MacPhail Road Bel Air, MD 21014.
