On Sunday, January 16, 2021, Charlotte passed away after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Hydes, Maryland, and raised in Bel Air, Maryland. She attended Harford Memorial Hospital’s Nursing Program, and was one of the founding employees of Fallston General Hospital. Despite her long career in nursing, she was most proud of her role as Mother to her five children. Charlotte thoroughly enjoyed attending the sporting and theater events of her children and grandchild. She was also an avid reader, and bowled on the Fallston General league for many years.
Charlotte is survived by her devoted husband of forty-five years, Rosalino Oteyza of Bel Air, daughters Lisa Marie Grzybowski and husband David, Angela Eisenacher and husband Tony; sons Paul Martin and Nathan Oteyza and wife April; grandson Gavin Martin and wife Lauren; granddaughters Genevieve Grzybowski, Savannah Cash and Seraphina Oteyza; great-granddaughters Evelyn and Eleanor Martin; sisters Janet Wilmoth and Judy Tejeda; many first and second cousins, nieces and nephews; and faithful companion Toby.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents, Viola Mae Church (Rose) and Fletcher Alan Church, sons Stephen Martin and Kim Oteyza, and sister Donna Albrecht.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, on Friday, January 21 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am Saturday, January 22, 2022 at St. Margaret Church. Interment will follow at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
