Christopher Lee Morris

Honest, loyal, loving and complicated was how Christopher described himself. While born in Virginia, he grew up in Harford County, and later lived in Baltimore. He cherished the time spent with his parents, siblings, and extended family in both Virginia and Maryland. Christopher had the heart of an artist and often expressed himself through drawing and writings which his friends called “poetic”. He was a man of faith and never wavered in that faith no matter how difficult things were. He was the beloved son of Myles and Charlene (nee Cornnell) Morris of Darlington, Maryland and Susan (nee Backus) and Sandy Colbert of Colonial Heights, Virginia; cherished brother of Meredith Morris of Darlington, Maryland, Colleen Morris of Columbia, Maryland, Laura Cruz and her husband Marc of Tucson, Arizona and Stefana Lederer of Manassas, Virginia. He is predeceased by his brother, Brian Morris. Survived by his grandparents Robert and Patricia Morris of Alexandria, Virginia, Richard and Lula “Trudy” Backus of Manassas, Virginia and John J. and Earline Cornnell of Woodstock, Virginia. Also survived by nephews Corbin Christopher Cruz and Christian Lederer of Tucson, Arizona; Pierce Morris of Darlington, Maryland, Stefan Flores of Manassas, Virginia and life-long best friend Glenn Clark of Monkton, Maryland. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 West MacPhail Road (at RTE 24) on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm; where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12 noon with interment to follow at the Darlington Cemetery.
