Much like a butterfly that lands on your hand, you admire its beauty while it rests peacefully. You feel a connection to it yet it flies away as quickly as it arrived leaving only a memory that makes you smile.

I did not know Cody, but one of my friends did. Even though I didn't know him, his death has really saddened me. I can not begin to imagine what you're going through, and I am so very sorry. I am filled with sympathy for you and your family, but I wish I would have had the chance to know him, because I don't think there is one person who has had anything negative to say about him. You really raised a wonderful man, and he will live in you all forever <3

I didnt know Cody that well but I am a mom who's heart is breaking for this family. My son Tyler Canoles was a good friend of Cody's and I heard alot about him. I had the privilege of attending Harford Technical High School with Cody and graduating with him c/o 2011. He was always so outgoing,talkative and was able to make anyone's day instantly even if he hardly knew you. He had a beautiful smile that could light up a room and always put others happiness before his own. He was the funny guy, he easily made anyone laugh even over the most ridiculous things. Cody was exceptionally talented and often talked about his participation in motorcross, he was not cocky but proud. He took great pride in his accomplishments and abilities as he should. I did not think when walking that stage last June would be the last time I would ever see Cody,I wish it wasn't. Cody was and always will be an absolutely amazing individual and I am so thankful to have gotten the opportunity to know him. My thoughts and prayers remain with his family during this tough time. We are all at such a loss without his presence.

Cody, I know we didn't always see eye to eye on a lot of stuff- but that doesn't change how bad this has effected everyone. I don't think there's a single person who isn't missing you like crazy right now. The entire harford tech class of 2011 losta very important person <3 You never failed to make everyone laugh regardless of the situation. I remember coming into homeroom every morning expecting an entertaining story from the night before. You were such a great person and everyone loved you. You will be greatly missed. Rest easy Cody. And to the family, I am very sad for your loss and the entire family will be in my prayers.
