Conrad Harvey Buelow
March 5, 1930 – May 5, 2022

Conrad H. Buelow, 92, beloved father and grandfather, died peacefully on May 5, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born in St. John’s Newfoundland, CA on March 5, 1930, and moved to Brooklyn, NY as a young boy. He served in the U.S. Navy (Korea) for 7 years, then lived and worked in New York for the NYPD and Western Union. He moved his family to Petersham, MA where he was Past Commander of the American Legion Post 415 and worked in Athol, MA at L.S. Starrett Company. He spent the last 18 years of his life in Bel Air, MD near his son John, his daughter in law Joan and his grandchildren Christopher and Mary Kate. Conrad loved to tell his Newfie, New York and Navy stories to anyone who would listen. He was loved dearly by his family and made many friends wherever he roamed. He was preceded in death by his mother Helen and his sister Constance.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, MD 21014, on Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 3-5 PM, where a Memorial Service will be held at 5PM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in memory of Conrad H.
