

Connie was born in Albuquerque New Mexico on February 20th, 1939, to Marjorie Vera Bowman-Hess and William Henry Hess. She resided in Albuquerque for 30 years and was raised alongside her sister Judy. During which time she graduated from Valley High in 1957 where she was part of the first graduating class.
Connie married David Ward in 1960 and was married to him for 8 years. After they divorced, she moved to Denver Colorado in 1969 and gave birth to daughter Amy Delene Ward Wonder. Connie resided in Denver for 20 years. She then met her long-term partner Manfred Breese, but she never remarried.
Connie went to school to learn how to be a secretary, where she learned shorthand and other inner office workings. She worked for a telephone company and worked for multiple industrial companies. She then went to work for E&G Terminal in 1975, where she worked for 15 years. In 1990 she moved back to New Mexico and lived there until she moved in with her daughter in Joppa Maryland in 2010. She assisted while Amy went to nursing school and helped raise her grandchildren.
Connie always had a passion for art, drawing and playing the piano. In the 60’s she was part of a bowling league in New Mexico where she bowled at a 277 game at Fiesta. There she scored a 627 marking her first 600 series and earning a shoutout in the local newspaper. She loved to spend time outside, go boating and took many vacations to Lake Powell. Once she retired, she loved to garden and take care of her yard and spend time with her family. She brought kindness and compassion to all those she met through Christ.
Connie is survived by her sister Judy Redd, and her brother-in-law Bob Redd, nephews Scott and Mark Redd, cousin Elizabeth Jensen, her daughter Amy Delene Ward Wonder, and grandchildren Katriana “Katie” Rose and Nicholas “Nick” William Rupert Wonder.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents Marjorie Vera Bowman-Hess and William Henry Hess.
