Davis Luong, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on March 11, 2026. He was the eldest of six children and was born in Vietnam. In 1975, Davis and his family immigrated to the United States, settling in Southern California, where he grew up surrounded by family and community.
Growing up, Davis found joy in life’s simple pleasures—watching sports, relaxing at the beach, fishing, and helping those around him. Known for his calm nature, sharp insight, and quietly witty humor, he had a thoughtful way of looking at the world and an unwavering commitment to the people and values he held dear.
In his 30s, Davis felt inspired to start a new chapter and moved across the country to Maryland. There he built a life filled with love, laughter, and purpose. He met the love of his life, Thuy “Tracy” Thi Tran, and together they raised their children, Tina Ngọc and Kobe, the pride and joy of his life.
Davis had a gift for connecting with people. Whether through friendship, mentorship, or simple acts of kindness, he left a lasting impression on those who knew him. His warmth, humility, and sense of humor created a community that became an extended family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Thuy “Tracy” Thi Tran; his devoted children, Tina Ngọc and Kobe; his loving parents, Hanh and Hai Luong; and his siblings Andy Luong, Peter Luong, Van Day, Linda Palutzke, and Steven Luong. He was a cherished uncle to Samantha, Taylor, Jordan, Nicholas, Ana, Sarah, Ethan, Brett, Eli, and Natacha, and will be deeply missed by many more relatives and friends whose lives he touched.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014, on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, to celebrate Davis’s life and legacy.
Davis will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, and the love he gave so freely. His spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
