Dolores Mary Blucher (nee Saffa), age 91, passed away on the morning of August 27, 2023 at the Hillview Health and Rehab Center in Elizabethton, Tennessee. She entered Hillview for rehab after a short hospital stay that began in July, but her health continued to decline.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Hilda Saffa, and her four brothers. She leaves behind her daughters, Linda A. Thompson (Keith) and Ann L. Kristapsons (Edward Carey), her son, John H. Blucher (Lori Benjamin), four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, her sister Dorothy Tumblin, and her sister-in-law Mary Saffa, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, 610 W. MacPhail RD, Bel Air, MD 21014, on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 5-8 P.M. Further visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 10-11 A.M, with a funeral service to begin at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at Highview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dolores’ name to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
