Donald Timothy Trojan

Donald Timothy Trojan, 92, of Forest Hill, MD, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Don was born in 1933 in Baltimore, MD to his parents Timothy and Margaret Trojan (née Jenkins) (both deceased). He was a bright student. He attended Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and later completed coursework in telecommunications and systems engineering at Iowa State University through Bell Atlantic's C & P Telephone Company. Don enlisted in the US Navy in 1952 during the Korean War and completed his service in 1956. He served just under three years at sea on the USS K.D. Bailey as a mail clerk. Upon return home, Don began working for C & P Telephone company (later AT&T) and remained with the company for 32 years. He worked hard throughout his career developing telecommunications grid design systems for MD, PA, DE, WV, and Washington, DC. Don was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was also an avid member of the American Legion Rosedale Post 180 and his local church community. Family always came first for Don, but he also never met a stranger. He was loved and cherished by many as "Uncle Don."

Don was preceded in death by his loving sister, Margie Wilhelm (née Trojan), his daughter, Susan Trojan, and his niece, Stephanie Carneal.

Don is survived by his great-niece, Heather Thompson and his great-nephew, Nicholas Thompson, for whom he was an adored father figure.

Visitation will be held at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., located at 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A funeral service is scheduled at Bel Air United Methodist Church, 21 Linwood Ave, Bel Air, MD 21014, on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11:00 am.

Entombment will take place at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 5598 Trumps Mill Road, Baltimore, MD 21206, on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
