On January 5, 2014, Doris Marie Allen (Nee Moyer); beloved wife of the late Lawrence Richardson Allen “Jack”; devoted mother of Doris “Marie” Berger and her husband Arthur, Edward Zane Allen and his wife Gurly, Cecelia “CeCe” McCrory and her former husband Marty; step mother of the late Shirley Merle and her husband Jack; loving grandmother of Ginger Storck and her husband Jamie, Heather Morton and her husband Ronnie, Tonya and Ashley McCrory, Jack, Mike, Troy and Dirk Merle, Todd and Zane Anthony Allen; great grandmother of 10 great grandchildren; dear sister of Beatrice Gharett, Mabel Thursby and James Moyer; and survived by her very dear friend Pearl Mauck.

The family will receive friends at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Road (at Route 24) on Saturday from 10:00 am-11:00 am at which time a memorial service will be celebrated. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
