Born and raised in Baltimore, Edie attended Eastern High School before marrying the love of her life, Bill. They shared 56 wonderful years together, raising three boys: Brian (Jaime), Mike (Pam), and Kevin, who kept her constantly entertained and on her toes.
She was the ultimate lacrosse mom, cheering from the sidelines as the most dedicated Patriot, Laker, and Greyhound fan her sons could ask for. Her home was always open to everyone, especially the rowdy teenagers who became like family. She loved retelling stories about the wild antics her boys pulled over the years, always with a big smile and a contagious laugh.
Edie adored being a grandmother, and her granddaughters Ava, Lilly, Audrey, and Blair—lovingly called her “Memaw.” She was endlessly proud of them and cherished every moment spent with them.
She had a passion for homemaking, decorating and shopping, especially if there was a sale involved. Edie could sniff out a bargain like no other. She was full of life, feisty, and had a knack for coming up with hilarious phrases and nicknames for just about everything. She loved to laugh, and nothing delighted her more than a good, inappropriate joke. Her bourbon slush was legendary at parties, and she never showed up empty-handed.
A lifelong animal lover, Edie rescued many dogs over the years, giving them a warm and loving home. She and Bill loved spending time at their Ocean City condo, cruising on their boat, and traveling.
Edie was truly one of a kind. She was generous, fun-loving, and fiercely devoted to her family.
Now she is at peace, breathing easy, and reunited with Bill once again. She lived a life full of love, laughter, and just the right amount of chaos, and she wouldn't have had it any other way.
