Elaine Rose Pisano

Elaine Rose Pisano, 71, passed away on October 18, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. She was born on October 2, 1946 in Pittston, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude (Mulcahy) Bender.

Elaine was president of the Poughkeepsie Jaynces and district president of Dutchess County Jaynces while living in New York. Once Elaine and Andy moved the family to Fallston, Maryland she became deeply involved in her community. She volunteered regularly at Youth’s Benefit Elementary School and then Fallston High School. She was president of the Fallston High School Booster Club and a member of the Fallston Women’s Club. Elaine went on to start a computer consulting business, which had much success and led her to corporate technology sales.

In addition to her parents, Elaine is preceded in death by her brothers Joseph and Donald, and niece Lindsay.

Elaine is survived by her loving and devoted husband Andy of 51 years; her oldest son James; son Jeffrey and his wife Shelley; daughter Debbie and her husband Vince Lewis; very special grandchildren Ryan, Paige, Ellie, and Sophie who were the light of her life; sister Carolyn and her husband Mike; brother Charles and his wife Michelle; brother Bobby and his wife Ashley; many nephews and nieces; wonderful neighborhood friends; and many girlfriends.

A viewing will be held at Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 W MacPhail Road, Bel Air, MD 21014 on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Church of Saint Mark’s, 2407 Laurel Brook Road, Fallston, MD 21047 on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Lindsay Bender Scholarship Fund, at Saint Theresa Parish Athletic Association, 1300 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, Pennsylvania 17070.
