
On March 19, 2012, Elizabeth Mildred Peck (nee Quinn); 97, passed away. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph L. Peck; she is survived by her three daughters Elizabeth Ann Peck (Frank Cullen) of Atlanta, GA, Mary Katherine Tiller (Robert) of Conyers, GA and Josephine Wojciechowski (Robert) of Bel Air, MD; six grandchildren: Ralph Cullen (Alycia), Martha Cullen, Sarah Cullen, Barnum Tiller(Rebekah), Mary Winter (Jeff), John Wojciechowski, Joseph Wojciechowski, Matthew Wojciechowski and Anna Wojciechowski; two great-granddaughters: Gladys Gray Winter and Paula Rose Tiller; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth M Peck was born and spent her early years in Indianapolis, IN. In the 1930s, she moved to New York, NY to work for her aunt, Mrs. Cornelius Sullivan. Mrs. Sullivan, a founder of the New York Museum of Modern Art, was a very well-renowned art collector and owned an art and furniture gallery. Upon the death of Mrs. Sullivan in 1939, Mrs. Peck returned to Indianapolis to attend John Heron Art School. She also studied art at Butler University and the Chicago Art Institute. She later started an Interior Design business with Mrs. Mary Ellen Johnson, and was active in the operation of this business until she met and married Mr. Peck, when the couple moved south to Georgia and started a family. The Pecks owned and operated several tool and die design and manufacturing concerns in Brunswick, GA. Mrs. Peck was a long-time member of Northside Garden Club where she competed and was recognized for her creativity in floral design. Mrs. Peck and her family resided in Brunswick and St. Simons Island, GA for over 50 years and were regular parishioners at St. Williams Catholic Church.
Friends may call at the Church of St. Mark, Fallston on Monday March 26, 2012 from 9 to 10 am. At 10 am a funeral mass will be celebrated.
