Elizabeth Prendergast

On June 8, 2013, Elizabeth Jackson (Betty) Prendergast, beloved wife of John (Jack) Prendergast, Jr., devoted mother of Rear Admiral John Prendergast and his wife Mary Ellen, Michael Prendergast, Anne Prendergast Thayer and her husband David, Mary Jean Prendergast Schaffer and her husband Paul, Teresa Prendergast Anderson and her husband Neil, Dr. Kathleen Prendergast Slusar and her husband Mark, Debra Dutro Prendergast; loving grandmother of John, Brian, Mark, Tom, Lisa, Kevin, Stephen, Alex, Natalie, Riley, Katie, Mathew, Maggie and Anna; cherished great grandmother of Samuel. Elizabeth was a native of Crestwood New York and a 1952 graduate of Rosemont College. She was a devoted mother, dedicated educator and an accomplished Bridge player.

Relatives and friends may gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, MD 21014, on Friday June 14th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 15th at 10am at St. Margaret Catholic Church 141 Hickory Ave., Bel Air, MD 21014. Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Pascoag, RI. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Elizabeth’s name to St. Margaret Catholic Church or the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Department 109 S.
