I am sorry for your unimaginable loss.   I was web surfing, looking for Jonathan, my childhood friend.  I am dismayed to learn of the loss of one of your beautiful children, which I met once, over 25 years ago.

Hi Mr and Mrs Wald.  My name is Diane.  My dad was laid to rest last year next to your beautifu  daughter.   You sent my mother a message after my dad passed, but she did respond but on his tribute wall.  She was so appreciative of your message.  I am so sorry you lost your daughter at such a precious age.  She was born the same year as my daughter and graduated with my son-in-law from CMW.   I hope you know my dad looks over her.  His grandchildren were his world, and we miss him everyday. I hope you don’t mind, but when I visit my dad I spend time in prayer for your daughter as well.  I put a little hummingbird solar stake at her grave today.  If I offend you by doing so, I can remove it.  I loved the peeps you had there for her at Easter.  They are one of my daughter’s favorite’s as well!

Been thinking about you lots lately, beautiful. I will spend the rest of my time on this Earth missing you and your friendship!

We all have fantastic memories! Each different,because we all had different relationships. One thing weall have in common is the knowledge Liz was a Christian. My dear Sue, Jonathan, David, and Cheryl,
I know the pain you are feeling. We sorrow not as those who have no hope because we know sweet Elizabeth is safe in the arms of Jesus, but we still sorrow. That empty hole in your heart will always be there. I know Jesus will be there for you and carry you through this time. Elizabeth was a very sweet, cheerful girl. Although I only taught her first grade, I will always remember her carefree cheerful spirit. I am sure she and my brother Jonathan are having a wonderful time watching us. He is probably joking around with her and reminiscing about the times he had with me as a first grade teacher and asking her about her times. Praying for you all.

I went to the Schimuneck Funeral Home to pay my respects to my aunt and Elizabeth Wald was in the room across from my aunt. Although I was grieving because my aunt had passed, what happened to Miss Wald was tragic. My aunt had a long life, raised a family and experienced all the positive things life had to offer. It is sad that Miss Wald will never have that chance. Being a survivor of a horrible car accident myself, It also made me feel even more grateful for all the oppertunites I've had in my life. God bless my aunt and the Wald family.

Liz was in my American Women's Literature class at Harford Community College. She sat directly behind me She was quiet and thoughtful in her contributions to our class. Our teacher had given Liz a kitten and Liz was going to bring it in for us all to see. She has impacted our lives. Very sweet and positive young lady. I have requested prayer for you all from my church families. I know Liz would be encouraging us all now if she could. Wonderful young lady. May the Lord Jesus hold you all especially close during this time and comfort you as only He can. May His provision be sufficient for such a time as this. I worked with Liz for about 4 years at McDonald's. She was always fun to be around. She was and always will be the sweetest person I've ever met. I can't imagine anyone ever being any sweeter than Liz. Her smile lit up a room and her sweet disposition could brighter anyone's terrible day. I never saw her mouth closed, because she was always smiling or laughing. I'll always remember the sound of her voice as she would say, "Hey, Molly!" whenever I saw her. I regret not being closer with her, but I don't regret meeting her or having her in my life. No one could ever say a bad thing about her or accuse her of being mean or rude. I never heard her say one bad thing about anyone. I can't believe she's been taken from us so soon. I loved her and will always love her. I'll see you again one day, Liz. But until then, I'll be missing you.

Elizabeth gone way too soon, but our Lord Jesus needs you in heaven to be by his side. Though your dear family will miss you dearly, the need for you in heaven has arrived. Elizabeth you are now an angel smiling down on us.

Liz it was such a pleasure seeing your smiling face during our American Woman Writers class. We were all so excited to that we were going to see your new kitten Nala. Everyone in class was devastated to hear of your loss. You will always be remembered by me as the girl with the prettiest and biggest smile EVER! I remember Elizabeth Wald from elementary school, although I never really talked to her then, I met her again in high school and we became great friends. I remember spending mornings in the library with out usual group of friends and I was always happy to have lunch with her. I couldn't believe it when I got the call...she was way too young, too full of life. She will always be missed, will always be in my heart and remembered in my prayers. God be with you Liz.

My dear Baby Girl.  I must lay you to rest today and will see you no more.  This is something no daddy should ever have to do with his little girl.  I loved you so much.  I don't even think I realized the depth of it until you were taken away from me.  You are in heaven now and happier than you have ever been.  You are probably coming up with all kinds of ideas on how to keep it well ordered.  You were one of the lights of my life and I will carry you with me wherever I go.  I look forward to seeing you again, even though I'll have to wait a lifetime.  My arms ache to hold you.  I would give anything to hear your sweet voice say one more time, “I love you daddy”.  What a gift that those were the last words we ever shared.  I'm so proud of you.  I learned a lot about you yesterday and what an amazing young woman you were becoming. So enchanting, so winsome,  such a magnetic personality.
This lovely blond girl grew and grew more lovely each year.
Elementary, middle, and into high school.
“Where's that gray cat going, Bruce?” 
“To the Wald's. Elizabeth loves cats!”
“Oh no, what has happened to Elizabeth's HAIR?” 
“Her dad says she likes it brunette.”
“Goodness, why? That lovely blond hair, gone. Perhaps it's just a stage.”
“Oh no, Cheryl is driving.”
“Oh no, Elizabeth is driving.”
“I saw Elizabeth working at the McDonald's. She always offers a cheerful greeting.” 
“Oh look, she has a boyfriend. And look at that BIG TRUCK!”

“They must be getting serious.”
“Bruce, we are invited to Cheryl and Elizabeth's graduation parties. Where has the time gone? They were just little girls such a short time ago.”

Liz, I can't believe we met almost six years ago. It seems like such a long time. I just want to thank you for always making me feel included in band and color guard. You always knew how to cheer me up when I needed it and if I ever needed pictures of anything, I could always count on you to be taking them. We have so many memories together like football games and parties and now I'm going to cherish them even more. Mr. And Mrs. Wald, your daughter was one of the greatest friends I ever had and she was never any less than that.
