Ellen Frances Andon

February 10, 1953September 6, 2019

On Friday, September 6, 2019, Ellen Frances Andon, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 66. Ellen was born on February 10, 1953 in Salem, Massachusetts to Chester (Buddy) and Patricia Morrill. She was the first daughter and second born of four children (siblings John Morrill, Jean Duerr and Ann Efimetz) where she grew up spending summers with cousins and her family. On January 21, 1973, Ellen married Stephen Andon and they began a beautiful love affair which lasted over 45 years. They raised five children, three daughters, Stacey, Elizabeth (Libby) and Emily and two sons, Stephen and Tim. Ellen had a love of art and creative expression. Not only was the house full of her gorgeous artwork, she shared her love of creating with her children and those around her. She even started her own greeting card business featuring her lovable Jack Russell, Oreo. She was an incredible cook and baker--- famous for all-from-scratch-delicacies that family and friends raved about. In the last decade or so, she was most at home spending time with her grandchildren, Jamie and Findlay Haven, Sebastian, Julian and Valentina Andon and Nathan and Cora Andon --- snuggling them close or creating amazing arts and crafts projects to do together. So many people were touched by Ellen’s generous and loving heart that she will be dearly missed by those fortunate to cross paths with her. Ellen is survived by her husband Stephen, her five children and 7 grandchildren and her greeting-card-famous dog, Oreo. Come give a hug, get a hug and share beautiful memories with friends and family of Ellen. Visiting services will be held on Thursday, September 12th at Schimunek Funeral Home in Bel Air from 6 to 8pm and again on Friday, September 13th from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. Ellen’s funeral will be on Saturday, September 14th at 10am at St. Margaret’s Church in Bel Air. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Samaritan’s Purse International Disaster Relief Organization in Ellen’s name, https://www.samaritanspurse.org/

I am lost for words. I don't think that I can say anything that would ever lift the emptiness you must feel in your heart.
What I will say is that my friend Ellen was one of a kind. She was funny, sweet, giving and a person of incredible faith. She adored her husband Steve, her children and her grandchildren. Every time she spoke of any of them her eyes would just light up. I think I know you all even if we all have never met. She loved you all so much and was so proud of her girls (Stacey, Libby and Emily) and her sons (Steven and Tim) I am so very sorry for this huge lost but be sure that you all have gained an Angel in Heaven now. Here is a photo of one of our dinners together sharing a great time.
With all my Sympathies, Prayer's and Love

Ellen had such a deep faith that was lived out everyday. I was privileged to know her during her years at St. Raphael's. I will deeply miss her.

I am shocked to hear about this heart shattering news. Please accept my sincere and heartfelt condolences at this most difficult of times and please pass on these feelings to your family. Ellen was my sister in Christ. She was a true friend with a gentle spirit and loving nature. She was
Generous, kind, with Jesus on her mind. I learned a lot from her as she lead me closer to Jesus. I am Blessed and Honered that our paths crossed and we became friends.
I shall forever miss her.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted,
He rescues those whose spirits are crushed,
Psalm 34:18
Jesus I trust in You !
Have Mercy on us and of the whole world.
From the depth of my heart, much love and sympathy. 💔

Ellen was beautiful, charming, smart and very passionate. She loved her family. I had the pleasure of knowing her for over 20 years during my work at her husband's company TIC Gums. Ellen was at every Christmas party and came to the office to check in on her kids and Steve. She had fashion, flare, and style 100%. She will be missed cause I know she was truly loved by her family and all she touched. She touched me and always had my respect. Rest in peace Ellen..you deserve it and so much more. Condolences to my extended family..Libby, Stacey, Tim, Stephen, & Emily. I love you.

I would have to agree with Ellen's generosity. While her time at TIC Gums were probably not that memorable to her, I remember the first day I was training her at reception, she invited Barry & I to dinner. What a unique and memorable experience to break bread with the family.
We offer our deepest sympathies and condolenses to all.

I was blessed to share Ellen’s grandchildren from her son Stephen: Sebastián, Julian and Valentina.
She was a kind, loving and caring person, always ready to engage in conversation.
I will always treasure her reading recommendations and socializing with family.
She’s at a better place.
