Ethel Lee Wille

On August 1, 2024, Ethel Lee Wille (nee Melville) passed away peacefully in her home from Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born August 2, 1934, in Baltimore. She will be remembered lovingly by her husband of 70 years, Gerard (Jerry) Wille. Predeceased by her mother, father, and brother, she will be dearly missed by her sister, Mary Melville. Also dearly missed by son Gerard, III (Jerry) and wife Linda, daughter Barbara and husband Stephen Ward, daughter Joanne, wife of Albert Merrill (deceased), daughter Loretta and husband David Kisielewski, and son John and wife, Katie. She will also be missed by her 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

After marrying in 1954, Ethel and Jerry raised their family in Carney and were active with St. Isaac Jogues Parish. She was a leader in Baltimore County 4-H clubs. She was a full-time homemaker and the Wille home was always a hub of activity for friends and family.

In 1976, Jerry and Ethel moved to Harford County. She held many positions on the Farmington Community Homeowners Association where they lived. She loved to travel and traveled as “snowbirds” to the Walt Disney World Campground for over 40 years. Their motor homes adventures took them from Alaska to the Grand Canyon in the west and to Nova Scotia and Canada in the northeast.

What she will be most remembered for by families and friends are many annual parties hosted at “Willeworld” where they lived. She had a gift for throwing parties and made everyone feel welcomed and at home.

A viewing will be held at Schimunek Funeral Homes in Bel Air 610 W. MacPhail Road Bel Air, MD 21014 on, Tuesday, August 6 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. Where a Funeral services will be held at on Wednesday, August 7, at 10am. Graveside services will follow at Highview Cemetery on Fallston Road.
