We had the pleasure of being Gene and Joanne neighbors for 18 years . They were truly a couple that loved each other and their children. Jamie, Dean and Jessica and then there true bonus to be blessed with the grandchildren . Sharing good times with Gene and Joanne will be cherished to have had them in our lives.

Nancy and I have known Gene, and his wife Joanne, for over 40 years. Gene was both a coworker, and more importantly, a good friend. Always a gentleman, very caring, always ready to help, with a great sense of humor. And when he put his mind to doing something, he was tenacious, unyielding. He and Joanne were great hosts too of their annual super bowel party. It was always special, especially when the Steelers were playing. Gene and I are both from Pittsburgh and avid Steelers fans. The only things Gene loved more than the Steelers, were his family, and his Greek heritage. Nancy and I saw him a couple of times after he moved to Oakcrest, once to go to his favorite restaurant, Mission Barbeque, and once to go the bar at Oakcrest for Happy Hour. Both great times, but it was hard to see him failing. We loved him dearly, and will remember and miss him forever.
