On June 27, 2016, Evelyn Byrd Hayhurst, beloved wife of the late Denzel Ray Hayhurst, devoted mother of Deborah Byrd Kolego, Scott Sumpter Sheads and his wife Nancy, Shawn Lee Hayhurst and his wife Kathleen, Donna Jo Hayhurst-Brown and her husband Michael, William Dana Hayhurst, dear sister of George William Ferguson, Jr., cherished grandmother of Tisha Hayhurst, Joseph Brown, Payton Brown, Jessica Burkindine and her husband Artie, Amy Potter and her husband Jeffrey, and Whitney and Trevor Kolego, loving great-grandmother of Ethan and Elin Burkindine, Jeffrey and Gabrielle Potter, and Connor Kolego. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
